Hunter Valley

The Hunter Valley is around 2,5 hours North East of Sydney.

Ahh wine country for the ANZAC long weekend.

Started off at Brokenwood.

We stayed at a lovely B&B - Thistle Hill.
Funny enough it's owned by a couple from Durban.

The B&B cat.

The B&B Roo - Chloe. Been on the farm for 18 years.

Cat and Chloe relaxing in the morning.

Keeping with our new tradition - Canepes @ 5pm

There was no chance we'd miss this place.

We found ourselves in the small town of Wollombi on ANZAC day.
The entire town was down at the pub playing '2 UP' (gambling version of Heads & Tails)
ANZAC day is the only day its legal to play 2 UP.

So relaxing out here.

One more before heading back to Sydney

Kangaroo Valley

Juice and I headed off for a well deserved break over the Easter long weekend.
Destination - Kangaroo Valley.

It's a 1,5 - 2 hr drive South of Sydney. Also know as the 'Southern Highlands of NSW'

As you enter kangaroo Valley you cross over Hampden Bridge, the oldest suspension bridge in Australia.

Looks like the English countryside here. (This is the area where they filmed 'Babe' the little pig movie)

Some pictures from Milton Park.

Milton park is a popular wedding venue

Ahhh, the country girl.

Into the bush we went to find the Belmore Falls.

OK, so they're not the Vic Falls, but it was relaxing being in the bush.

Everyday we were treated to red wine & canapes at 5:30pm - how will we ever manage when we get back to Sydney?

Mornings in the valley were simply beautiful.

No need to say anything...relaxed.
